These selected pieces come from a film project that was produced, shot, and edited by my brother Nathanael Stevenson. The film centers around a young man who experiences a wave of depression and the moments that follow his spiral that eventually lead him to find a path out of his darkness. My brother and I worked closely to devise how sound and music would play into the plot of the wordless film. We came up with several themes, noises, motifs, and atmospheres that would be both diegetic and non-diegetic. We attempted to digitally produce as many sounds as possible so that even when a “natural” sound was heard, it was a bit disjointed from reality. This level of design was something I hadn’t attempted before and it lead to some of the boldest work I ever made.

I’ve been producing and recording music for 10 years. I started working in Propellerhead’s Reason when I was a sophomore in high school. My inspiration is drawn from artists such as KOAN Sound, Eskmo, Sam Gellaitry, and Seven Lions. These selected songs are a few of my favorites that I have produced over the years, their release dates vary between 2015-2019.
